Crypto To Gold Estimate
Estimate how much gold your cryptocurrency may represent before speaking with GCV.
Buy Physical Gold with Cryptocurrency
Global Capital Vault allows qualified clients to use select cryptocurrencies to purchase IRS-approved physical gold, subject to full compliance review, identity verification, and regulatory screening.
How Cryptocurrency Purchases Work
-
Request a Crypto Quote
You start by speaking with a Global Capital Vault Precious Metals Specialist. We confirm the amount of gold you wish to purchase and generate a live quote based on the current spot price of gold plus our disclosed spread and applicable fees. -
Compliance & Identity Verification (KYC)
Before any crypto payment is accepted, you must complete our standard Customer Identification Program (CIP) and Know Your Customer (KYC) process. This may include personal identification, proof of address, source-of-funds information, and any additional documentation required under federal and state regulations. -
Crypto Payment Instructions
After you are approved through compliance, we will provide a unique, one-time wallet address and a time-limited quote for your transaction. You send the specified cryptocurrency (e.g., BTC, ETH, USDC or other pre-approved assets) within the quoted time window. -
Conversion & Trade Lock
Once your transaction is detected on the blockchain and confirmed, we convert the cryptocurrency to U.S. dollars through a regulated exchange or liquidity provider. Your gold purchase price is locked in at the time of conversion to USD, not at the time you initiate your crypto transfer. -
Allocation & Secure Storage or Delivery
After funds clear, your metals are allocated in your name and placed into your chosen storage option (approved depository or vault) or scheduled for eligible shipment, in accordance with Global Capital Vault procedures.
Why Use Crypto to Buy Gold?
- Convert Volatile Digital Assets into Tangible Wealth: Exchange cryptocurrency for physical, vault-stored gold and reduce single-asset risk.
- Privacy with Compliance: Your identity is verified and your transaction is screened, while your underlying gold position is held in your name through Global Capital Vault and our approved custodial partners.
- Institutional-Grade Process: Use a structured, documented transaction flow designed to mirror institutional standards in AML, KYC, and transaction monitoring.
- No Crypto Custody by GCV: Global Capital Vault does not provide crypto wallets or custody services — we simply accept approved crypto payments as a funding method for gold purchases.
Important: Cryptocurrency payments are irreversible. Always verify the wallet address and transaction amount with your Precious Metals Specialist before sending any funds.
Compliance, Eligibility & Regulatory Screening
Global Capital Vault operates under strict anti-money-laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist-financing (CTF) procedures. All cryptocurrency transactions are subject to:
- Identity Verification: Government-issued identification, proof of address, and, where appropriate, enhanced due diligence.
- Source-of-Funds Review: We may request supporting documentation demonstrating lawful origin of funds, including transaction history, exchange records, and relevant financial statements.
- Sanctions & Watchlist Screening: All clients and transactions are screened against applicable sanctions lists, watchlists, and high-risk jurisdictions in line with U.S. and international guidance.
- Transaction Monitoring & Reporting: We may delay, reject, or report a transaction where we detect suspicious activity or where required by law or regulation.
Global Capital Vault reserves the right to decline any cryptocurrency transaction at its sole discretion, including but not limited to transactions involving privacy coins, mixers, or high-risk jurisdictions.
Risk Disclosure – Cryptocurrency & Precious Metals
Cryptocurrency Risk: Digital assets are highly volatile and may experience rapid and substantial changes in value. Blockchain transactions can be congested, delayed, or fail to confirm. Sending cryptocurrency to an incorrect or incompatible address may result in a total loss of funds. Once a transaction has been broadcast to the network, it generally cannot be reversed or cancelled.
Conversion Risk: The amount of physical gold you receive is based on the U.S. dollar value realized when your cryptocurrency is converted through our exchange or liquidity provider, net of spreads and fees. Market movements between the time you send cryptocurrency and the time of conversion may increase or reduce the final amount of gold that can be purchased.
Precious Metals Risk: The value of gold and other precious metals fluctuates and may go up or down. Past performance is not indicative of future results. Global Capital Vault does not guarantee profits, income, or protection from losses.
No Investment, Tax, or Legal Advice: Information on this page is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice. You should consult your own independent professional advisors regarding your specific situation, including the tax consequences of using cryptocurrency to purchase precious metals.
No Crypto Custody or Trading Services: Global Capital Vault is not a cryptocurrency exchange, broker-dealer, or money transmitter. We do not offer crypto trading, staking, lending, or wallet services. We accept approved cryptocurrencies solely as a method of payment for eligible metals purchases.
